Lab Water is important for your experiments, yet it is more complex than you realize...here is why you should care. 1. Laboratories use a lot of water. A typical laboratory is estimated to use around 5 times as much water as a similarly sized office building. 35 million liters per year is enough to fill over 14 Olympic-sized swimming pools. 2. Water quality and purity is essential to successful research. Around 70% of HPLC performance problems are thought to be directly attributable to water quality.
